Some sweet friends let us go up to their orchard this weekend and pick apples when my parents were in town. We had such a great time! It was beautiful weather! The apples were perfectly ripe! And there were tons of them. It was SUCH A TREAT!!!!
Zeke wanted his turn eating an apple, but he had to wait until it was in a different form. He needs a few more teeth. Well, actually, he needs teeth - he doesn't have any yet. He loved it once he got his chance.
Jojo was having such a great time picking apples that he started crying when we told him it was time to go. We hadn't given him a "5 minute warning" and he was devastated that he couldn't pick any more apples. So, we gave him a "5 minute warning" and he picked his heart out for the whole 5 minutes!
We had such a great time! However, the weather cooled off significantly that night - it got down to 16 degrees at this orchard - and our friends lost all the rest of their apple crop. So sad!!! Such beautiful apples - we are SO GRATEFUL we got to pick some before it froze.
